The Mavericks have won all three meetings this season and will be gunning for a season series sweep. It won’t be as easy as before, though, as Zion Williamson is now in the fold.

HOME TEAM: Dallas Mavericks (37-25, 16-14 at home)

The Mavericks enter with an uneventful 3-3 record in their last six games. On Tuesday, they bowed to the lottery-bound Chicago Bulls, 109-107, as Luka Doncic only went 8-for-20 from the floor.

Still, considering they are 3-0 against the New Orleans Pelicans this season while averaging 123.7 PPG, there’s minimal doubt inside the Mavs locker room heading into tomorrow’s match-up. Luka is also producing his usual numbers in the season series – 28.0 points, 11.3 rebounds, and 8.0 assists on 51.9% shooting.

Kristaps Porzingis and Tim Hardaway Jr. didn’t score well in the three previous meetings, but both are currently riding a hot stretch – the former has 26.5 points, 10.8 boards, and 2.1 blocks in his last 10, while the latter has 22.2 points and 3.5 threes in his last six.

Porzingis sat out the Bulls game to rest an ailing knee. He is expected to be back tomorrow.

Fan favorite Boban Marjanovic will be someone to watch out for as well. He had a double-double against the Bulls and also tallied 15 points and 16 rebounds when he faced the Pels back in early December.

ROAD TEAM: New Orleans Pelicans (26-35, 14-16 on the road)

The Pelicans have lost three of their last four games. Their 27th-ranked defense was also in full display in Wednesday’s 139-134 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves as they allowed their second-highest points this season.

No reports haven’t been made yet but there’s a possibility that Zion Williamson will be rested for the contest. Tomorrow is the Pels’ second night of a back-to-back, and the rookie, in his young, 16-game career, hasn’t played in such a scenario. Williamson is posting 24.1 points on 58.8% shooting and is sure to affect the dynamic of the game.

The Pelicans are only scoring 99 PPG in the season series, and Brandon Ingram is the only one who’s posing a solid threat (21 PPG, 50 FG%). Jrue Holiday is only at 13.3 points on 38.6% shooting.

PREDICTION:

Luka and the Mavs should be able to showcase their offense well and take advantage of the Pelicans, who are playing on consecutive days. I expect them to collect a 119-109 victory.
