Donovan Mitchell and the Utah Jazz are on an absolute tear, and they look to maintain an impressive pace when they welcome the Houston Rockets at home.

HOME TEAM: Utah Jazz (32-13, 18-3 at home)

The Jazz furthered their dash in the win column on Sunday with a 112-107 win over the Dallas Mavericks. It was their 19th win in 21 games and ninth-straight victory at home.

Though known for their lockdown defense, offense is where the Jazz are thriving lately. The attack is scoring 123.6 points and knocking down 14.6 three-pointers per game on 51.5%-shooting overall. Such juice on the offensive end is always good whenever a fast-paced team like the Rockets are on the opposite side.

Donovan Mitchell (24.7 PPG) will be in an exciting head-to-head match-up with Russell Westbrook in a battle of explosive, high-scoring guards. Rudy Gobert’s (23 PPG, 15.3 RPG in his last four) clash with Clint Capela should be interesting as well.

ROAD TEAM: Houston Rockets (28-17, 13-10 on the road)

The Rockets had their momentum halted on Monday after losing to the Denver Nuggets, 117-110. They snapped a two-game winning streak and have now lost five of their last seven games.

With buddying All-Star James Harden sitting out a bruised left thigh, Russell Westbrook continued his blazing surge as he poured in a game-high 32 points, 22 of which came in the second half. He’s averaging 33.4 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 8.8 assists on over 54% shooting in his last eight. Look for him to be aggressive in matching against Mitchell.

Harden is listed as day-to-day and his status for tomorrow is still up in the air. Clint Capela (14.4 PPG, 14 RPG) and Eric Gordon (17.5 PPG) are the secondary options if Harden decides to rest his injury further. Ben McLemore could also be in that list. He scored 15 points in 22 minutes of play while facing the Nuggets.

PREDICTION:

The Jazz’s run remains intact courtesy of a 120-112 win. Westbrook will get his numbers, but the Jazz will ultimately show how poised and loaded they are on both ends of the floor.
