Pacific Division rivals Sacramento Kings and Golden State Warriors will tangle up anew in their fourth and final faceoff in the 2024-25 NBA regular season. The Kings can win the series outright with a victory in San Francisco, but that is going to be easier said than done with Stephen Curry and company on a roll. With that said, it’s time to check out the preview of this game below.

Away: Sacramento Kings (33-31, 17-16 Away)

Projected Starting Five:

  • Malik Monk
  • Zach LaVine
  • DeMar DeRozan
  • Keegan Murray
  • Domantas Sabonis (Questionable)

There is optimism in Sacramento that star big man Domantas Sabonis will finally be able to return to action, in time for this matchup against the Warriors. The Lithuanian has missed the last five Sacramento games with a hamstring injury, but has reportedly practiced on Thursday, sparking some hope that he’ll be there to help the Kings snap out o a two-game slump this Friday.

Sacramento has lost to the Los Angeles Clippers (111-110 OT) and to the New York Knicks (133-104) in the team’s last couple of outings. Those contests were part of a three-game work for the Kings over four days. This time, the Kings are coming off two full days, giving their bodies ample rest before facing the Warriors. The Kings defeated Golden State in the first two meetings this season before falling prey to the Warriors in the third matchup, 132-108, which took place on Feb. 22.

Sacramento enters Friday with a 7-3 record against the spread in their last 10 games in Golden State’s home.

Home: Golden State Warriors (37-28, 19-13 Home)

Projected Starting Five:

  • Stephen Curry
  • Gary Payton II
  • Jimmy Butler III
  • Jonathan Kuminga (Probable)
  • Draymond Green

The surging Warriors will look to sustain their scorching form this Friday. They have won five games in a row going into this meeting with Sacramento. Moreover, the Dubs have won 10 of their last 11 outings. Golden State continues to do wonders with Jimmy Butler in the lineup, and it could get even better for the Warriors this Friday, with Jonathan Kuminga potentially returning from a long absence due to injury. Kuminga is listed as probable for the Kings game.

He last played in January, so the Warriors are yet to see Butler run the floor with the 22-year-old former first-round pick. But whether Kuminga plays or not against the Kings, Golden State appears to have what it takes to defeat Sacramento.  Over the team’s last five games, Curry has averaged 29.0 points while shooting 42.1 percent from deep. Gary Payton II has put up 13.3 points on 61.1 FG%. Meanwhile, Quinten Post is showing that he can make a positive impact on the floor. He’s shot 42.9 percent from behind the arc on 4.7 3-point attempts in six games this March.

The Warriors are 3-1-1 against the spread in their last five home games.
