Away: Indiana Fever (24-12, 11-6 Away)

Projected Starting Five:

  • Caitlin Clark
  • Lexie Hull
  • Kelsey Mitchell
  • Aliyah Boston
  • Monique Billings

Who’s stopping the Fever? Indiana has been putting on a show of late, having won five games in a row. Caitlin Clark and company have also just lost twice in 12 outings. In their most recent game, the Fever took down the Toronto Tempo on the road on Wednesday, 101-95, with the two-headed monster of Kelsey Mitchell and Clark doing most of the damage. Mitchell led the way for the Fever with 29 points on 11/16 shooting, while Clark added 24 points and seven assists.

When Indiana leveled its season series against the Wings with a 98-87 win at home last Saturday, Clark went off for 20 points on 11/18 shooting with 10 assists. As a team, there is not a more prolific scoring team in the league right now than the Fever, who are averaging 96.4 points per game on the strength of a WNBA-leading 48.8 percent shooting from the floor.

Home: Dallas Wings (20-16, 10-6 Home)

Projected Starting Five:

  • Jessica Shepard
  • Awak Kuier
  • Arike Ogunbowale
  • Paige Bueckers
  • Alysha Clark

Things are not as great for Dallas as they have been lately for the Fever. The Wings have gone just 1-5 straight up in their last six outings, including a 78-70 loss at the hands of the Golden State Valkyries on the road on Tuesday. Even worse for the Wings is the fact that they have lost rookie Azzi Fudd for the remainder of the campaign after she went under the knife for arthroscopic surgery on her right knee. That means the Wings will have to find a way to source the 13.1 points they were getting from her per game.

Also, that puts more pressure on the likes of Paige Bueckers and Arike Ogunbowale to produce more on offense. Bueckers is averaging 20.5 points on an incredible 50.5 percent shooting, while Ogunbowale is second on the team with 14.9 points per contest.  The two combined for 42 points on 16/35 shooting to guide the Wings to a 107-104 win in a shootout over Indiana on the road back in May.
