Back on their feet

The Philadelphia 76ers have now won back-to-back after stumbling this past week by losing three-straight games. They are 22-10 (15-2 at home) and still flipping in between the third and sixth spots in the East.

The last two victories have showcased a well-oiled Sixers squad as the offense dropped 125 points on both occasions and shot over 53% from the floor.

The first of the two wins had six guys scoring in double figures, while in the second, three Sixers had big-time games – Ben Simmons dished out a career-high 17 assists, Tobias Harris scored a season-high 35, and Furkan Korkmaz came off the bench to chip in 21 points in 21 minutes.

Look for Simmons (14.4 PPG, 7.0 RPG, 8.5 APG, 2.1 SPG) and Harris (19.7 PPG) to be the main threats, along with Joel Embiid (23.6 PPG, 12.6 RPG).

Best record in the league

The 27-4 Milwaukee Bucks now stand alone in having the best record in the league. They have also played with an added intensity following the shocking upset loss to the Luka Doncic-less Dallas Mavericks this past week.

After taking the West-leading Los Angeles Lakers to school on Friday, Giannis Antetokounmpo and his crew decimated the New York Knicks and Indiana Pacers by an average of 24.5 points while also holding them to just 38.6%-shooting.

Giannis, as always, will be out to make his freak of nature presence felt on the floor. He’s dropping 31 points, 12.9 rebounds, 5.6 assists, 1.2 steals, and 1.2 blocks per game on 56.6%-shooting this season – oh he’s also knocking down 2.4 threes every night this December.

Khris Middleton (18 PPG) and Brook Lopez, who has 13.6 points, 6.3 boards, and 4.0 blocks in his last three, will be the main secondary options. George Hill is being efficient as well – 13.8 points in just 21.4 minutes of play over the last five – so he’s also someone to watch out for.

The Bucks are 12-2 on the road this season.

PREDICTION:

The Bucks flex their NBA-leading play once again. They take it, 116-110.
