The 6-1 Los Angeles Lakers and 6-2 Miami Heat should be able to provide an entertaining match-up. LeBron James loves to show-off against his former teams and it’s an intriguing match for Jimmy Butler and Heat, who have played hungry all season.

The Lakers are back at home and just had a come-from-behind win on the road, where they erased a 19-point, second-half deficit before edging out the Chicago Bulls, 118-112. The Heat are also coming from a big road win, as they easily dispatched the Phoenix Suns on Friday, 124-108.

Will LeBron continue his hot streak?

LeBron James has helped guide the Lakers into a six-game winning streak. He’s averaging 26.1 points, 8.3 rebounds, and a league-leading 11.1 assists per game on the season and has also stringed three consecutive triple-doubles in his last three.

Look for an aggressive Anthony Davis

AD was mostly quiet in the Bulls win, as he only tallied 15 points, so expect him to be more involved this time. He’s currently leading the Lake Show in points (26.6), rebounds (10.9), and blocks (3.0) per game.

The upstart Heat are coming

The Heat are being tested early and they are responding well. Saturday’s game will be the back half of a back-to-back and it’s their second back-to-back set this week.

Jimmy Butler powered the team in the Suns victory. His 30 points in the first half allowed the Heat to have good control of the pace and keep the opponents’ rhythm out of whack. Scoring also came from Goran Dragic and rookie Tyler Herro, who scored 25 and 15 points, respectively.

Butler (18.8 PPG) should again lead the team’s attack, but as we’ve mentioned in recent previews, the Heat’s brand of offense is very well-rounded, and its anyone’s guess as to who will be the focal point. After Butler, six other Heat players also average double-digit points.

PREDICTION:

The Lakers win courtesy of a big night from Anthony Davis. However, if they let themselves fall into an early hole like they did in the previous game, they can’t expect to come back again. The Heat are miles ahead of the Bulls, offensively and defensively.
