The series has been filled with high-scoring performances between the team’s high-scoring guards, and we should be able to witness it again tomorrow.

Catch the game tomorrow, August 31st, at 8:30 AM (Manila time)

HOME TEAM: #6 Utah Jazz (3-2)

The Jazz won three-straight games in the series to be in the driver seat. They failed to finish it off in Game 5 but are still looking good and comfortable. Utah is averaging 121.8 PPG (3rd) in the series on 51.3% shooting (1st), both of which are top 3 in the postseason.

Donovan Mitchell’s (37.6 PPG in the playoffs) star is growing in this series, and you have to be excited what he’ll bring next. He has a 57-point and 51-point performance in the match-ups, which includes a couple of clutch shots and daggers. His 188 points in the postseason is second only to James Harden’s 190.

The other guards are doing pretty good as well. Jordan Clarkson (19.2 PPG) is doing what he does best, which is score, while Mike Conley (23.3 PPG, 4.3 APG) is providing the best offense he’s given all season.

Elite defensive big man Rudy Gobert, is, of course, doing his thing on the defensive end, and putting up a double-double (17.6 PPG, 10.4 RPG, 1.4 BPG).

ROAD TEAM: #3 Denver Nuggets (2-3)

After a trio of defeats, the Nuggets finally responded in Game 5, 117-107, to live another day. It was a strong showing as they outscored the Jazz in the fourth quarter 35-21, which allowed them to pull away.

Denver is scoring 114.2 PPG in the playoffs and shooting 43.2% from three and 47% overall, which are good numbers, particularly on three. The team is also fourth in threes per game at 16.0.

What’s terrible thus far is the rebounding. Despite having a couple of bruisers, the Nuggets are dead-last in offensive rebounds and second-to-last in total boards.

They have to improve that, obviously, or maybe Jamal Murray would just have to keep scoring huge numbers. He has 92 points in his last two on a superb 61.4% shooting.

Nikola Jokic (26.4 PPG, 7.8 RPG, 5.0 APG) will be backing Murray’s great scoring stretch, and hopefully, he can rebound better. Michael Porter Jr. (14.4 PPG) has slowed down from his explosion in the seeding games as it has given way to The Jamal Murray Show, but look out for him too.

PREDICTIONS:

The two teams engage in another great battle, led again by a Mitchell-Murray duel. In the end, though, I expect the Jazz, the slightly more playoff-tested team, to close it out, 121-118.
