The Minnesota Timberwolves and the Memphis Grizzlies will meet for the third (and last) time this season, with Ja Morant and company looking for a three-game sweep. Will the Timberwolves avenge those two losses? Or, will the Grizzlies take out the brooms and win their penultimate home game of the campaign?

Away: Minnesota Timberwolves (46-33, 23-17 Away)
Projected Starting Five:
- Mike Conley
- Anthony Edwards
- Jaden McDaniels
- Julius Randle
- Rudy Gobert
The Timberwolves are coming off a painful and embarrassing 110-103 loss on the road at the hands of the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday. It was a game that Minnesota should have won, given that it had a 24-point lead early in the fourth quarter. But the Timberwolves suffered an epic meltdown, as they saw their five-game win streak get snapped. Anthony Edwards led Minnesota in that game with 25 points while Donte DiVincenzo came off the bench and fired 24 points.
And while it’s easy to lose interest in the appeal of the Timberwolves following such a loss, there’s something to like about Minnesota’s chances to do well, at least spread-wise, against the Grizzlies, and that’s the fact that Memphis has not covered in all of its last 10 games as the home team.
Meanwhile, the Timberwolves, who are seventh in the league with a +4.5 average scoring margin, are 5-5 against the spread in their last 10 road games. They are also 3-0 ATS in their last three games in Memphis, dating back to 2023.

Home: Memphis Grizzlies (47-32, 25-14 Home)
Projected Starting Five:
- Ja Morant
- Desmond Bane
- Vince Williams Jr.
- Jaren Jackson Jr.
- Zach Edey
Memphis appears to be finally finding its groove under interim head coach Tuomas Iisalo. The Grizzlies are now on a three-game win streak. Although their last game was a 124-100 victory against the lowly Charlotte Hornets on the road, the Grizzlies took down the Miami Heat and the Detroit Pistons in two close games before that. Memphis can hang with anyone, which is also why it is in a position to make the NBA Playoffs.
However, the Grizzlies can’t relax just yet because they are just half a game in front of the Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference standings for the sixth spot. They can still end up playing in the play-in tournament, a scenario they surely don’t want to happen. The Timberwolves seem to present a tasty opportunity for Memphis to bounce back, as they have already been defeated twice by Ja Morant and company this season. It’s worth noting, though, that both those games had the Grizzlies winning by only a total of four points.
The Grizzlies have successfully covered the spread in each of their last two outings.
