The Miami Heat have beaten the Philadelphia 76ers twice in three meetings this season and will now look to win the season series for the first time since the 2015-16 campaign.

HOME TEAM: Miami Heat (33-15, 21-3 at home)

The Heat have been alternating wins and losses in their last five games, but they will be coming off a 102-89 road win over the Orlando Magic, where they allowed the second-fewest points all season.

In true Heat form, the team has eight different players averaging double-digit points in the season series with the Sixers – Goran Dragic, Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo, Tyler Herro, Kendrick Nunn, Derrick Jones, Duncan Robinson, and Chris Silva. All eight put up between 10 and 18.5 points per game.

Expect the same type of balanced scoring tomorrow, which should be turned up a notch as they will be playing in front of their home crowd. Watch out for the crisp passing as well; Butler, Adebayo, and Dragic, three of the most relied upon scorers in the team, are each dishing out over five assists per contest in their last six games.

ROAD TEAM: Philadelphia 76ers (31-19, 9-17 on the road)

No playoff contender is proving the old saying “There’s no place like home” more than the Sixers. They continued their struggles on away games Sunday as they got manhandled by the Boston Celtics, 116-95, for their third-straight loss on the road.

Tomorrow could be another rough night for Philly, but there’s no denying the tools they have night in and night out. Joel Embiid is on top of that list, averaging 26.5 points and 13.7 rebounds per game in the three games against the Heat this season. Though Ben Simmons doesn’t have sexy numbers in those match-ups, he’s been playing on a different level for weeks now. He’s posting 23.5 points, 8.9 boards, 7.2 assists, and 2.2 steals on 65.2%-shooting in his last 10 outings.

The third key man in the rotation, Tobias Harris, is chipping in serviceable numbers in the season series (17 PPG, 42.9 FG%). It will be interesting to see if he can boost those numbers with Josh Richardson out with a hamstring injury.

PREDICTION:

The Heat have lost two of their last three games at home but they are a good call tomorrow. The Sixers are simply awful on the road. I expect South Beach boys to take this one, 111-105.
