James Harden vs. Giannis Antetokounmpo? That’s a more enjoyable showdown at Disney World than Donald Duck vs. Chip ‘n’ Dale. Catch the rematch of these two heavyweight title contenders on Monday at 8:30 AM (Manila time).

HOME TEAM: Houston Rockets (39-21, 22-10 at home)

The greatest show in the Orlando bubble so far was put up by James Harden. On Saturday, Harden stuffed the stat sheet with another absurd performance, pounding the Dallas Mavericks for 49 points on 14-of-20 shooting. That’s as strong of an indication as anyone can make on his top form despite the long break. Russell Westbrook also came through with quite a performance himself, as he scored 31 points and pulled down 11 boards.

The Rockets were clearly outsized against Dallas, but they countered the Mavs with speed, winning the fastbreak points battle, 20-7. Harden was a tough cover for the Mavs. When he’s not scoring on layups, he was knocking down shots from the charity stripe (18/21). With that ability to draw fouls and kick out to shooters, Houston’s got the perfect weapon to put cracks on Milwaukee’s defense. The Rockets are second in the league with 118.1 points per game.

ROAD TEAM: Milwaukee Bucks (59-12, 25-9 on the road)

Before Harden showed why he’s a former MVP in the Rockets’ win over Dallas, Giannis Antetokounmpo had already laid his case why he’s another frontrunner for the award this season. The Greek God of Basketball fired 36 points, collected 15 rebounds, and had seven assists in a 119-112 win against the Boston Celtics Friday night.

The Rockets didn’t have to see that game to know Antetokounmpo is a problem. They watched him do that in front of them earlier this season when Antetotounmpo drained 30 points to along with 11 assists and 13 rebounds in Milwaukee’s 117-111 win over Houston on the road. Houston should have a harder time buying baskets against the Bucks’ defense that’s ranked sixth in the NBA (107.4 PPG). Brook Lopez sent a strong message to Houston slashers with his six-blocks performance in the Boston game.

PREDICTIONS:

The Bucks have longer, bigger, and more cohesive defense than the one showed by the Mavericks. Not to mention they’re more dangerous as a team on offense. The Bucks win this game, 121-114.
