One thing to know about the Lynx in this game is that they can lock up the top seed for the 2026 WNBA Playoffs with a win over Indiana. That is enough of a motivation for Olivia Miles and company to get the job done Wednesday. Miles is listed as questionable for this matchup against the Fever with a calf issue, but she doesn’t seem to be in real danger of missing the contest.
In the Lynx’s most recent outing, the rookie out of TCU dropped 21 points on 7/10 shooting, while adding six assists in a 101-89 win on the road over the Connecticut Sun. This season, Miles is averaging 19.8 points on 49.2% shooting from the floor. Miles had already made his introduction to Indiana when she went off for 28 points on 11/14 shooting with three 3-pointers in a 108-100 victory at home over the Fever on Aug. 3.
The Lynx have covered the spread in three of their last four meetings with Indiana, dating back to the 2025 WNBA season.

The chances of the Fever earning a home-court advantage in the playoffs are slim, but a win against Minnesota will help their cause. Indiana must win its last two regular-season games (both against the Lynx) and get help from other teams to secure that advantage.
Either way, the Fever are going dancing in the postseason. At the very least, winning games down the stretch of the regular season will give them momentum towards the playoffs. They are also looking to recover from a 93-77 loss to the Washington Mystics at home on Monday.
Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell scored 25 and 22 points, respectively, but the Fever shot only 37% from the field and allowed the Mystics to convert on 57% of their shots. Defense isn’t a specialty for the Fever this season, but they will have to bring it on both ends of the floor against Minnesota.
