Man, this Grizzlies team is already fun to watch thanks to its mix of excellent young talent. Give them another season or two of experience, and we might be looking at a perennial playoff team.

One play probably best exemplified the Memphis Grizzlies’ big win against the Houston Rockets – which was all about hustle and grit.

With 3:15 left, Ja Morant looked like he was going to lose the ball in traffic after running into a wall of Rockets players, but somehow stayed composed, threw up the ball before falling down, and nailed the shot.

He also nailed a big three pointer after that put the lead at 105-114 – effectively icing the game with 2:17 left.

Much like their big win against the Clippers a couple of weeks ago, the Grizzlies spread the wealth and spread the love.

Morant (26 PTS, 5 REB, 8 AST) was again amazing from the field, shooting 10 of 11 from the field and 3 of 4 for three pointers. Dillon Brooks (24 PTS, 4 REB, 3 AST) helped out by making 6 of 10 of his own threes as well. Jonas Valancuinas (19 PTS, 6 REB, 2 AST) also had an effective performance, continuing to show that he wasn’t just some throwaway in the Marc Gasol trade.

Six Grizzlies players scored in double digits.

James Harden (41 PTS, 6 REB, 6 AST) now has a streak of five straight games scoring more than 40 points the Grizzlies, who didn’t really care.

The win makes it six in a row for the young men from Memphis, and things are starting to really look up.
