Ah, it just didn’t get any easier for the Atlanta Hawks, especially with their prized youngster Trae Young nursing a hamstring injury.

Kyrie Irving used today’s game to come back from a shoulder injury that has had him sidelined for almost two months. He looked pretty good in the 20 minutes of court time that he saw.

Uncle Drew used those minutes to put on a pretty impressive performance, scoring 21 points on 10 of 11 shooting along with 4 rebounds and 3 assists. His court vision was on display, as well as his ability to draw double teams that led to easy buckets for teammates like Jarrett Allen. He also pulled out a little bit of everything from his bag of offensive tricks, from floaters, pull-up jumpers, crossovers, and long-range bombs.

Kyrie Irving showed a little bit of everything tonight.

Nets fans will have been happy to see Irving being aggressive with his drives to the basket, and will be hoping that the long break was enough time to completely get over the injury.

The 108-86 blowout ensured that none of the Nets’ starters played more than 25 minutes tonight as well.

Irving has always been a divisive personality, but basketball fans will certainly be happy to see him back on the court. Let’s hope he stays healthy for the rest of the season.
