Harden continues his post-Bjelica Blitz
James Harden is unreal. He’s scored 109 points in his last two games. Yes, you read that right.
The Beard was lights out, and his numbers from the Rockets’ 130-107 victory over the Magic were straight up gaudy. The man had 54 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists, 2 steals, and 3 blocks. He barely went to the free throw line, where he made 6 of 6.
Instead, he straight up torched the Magic from the field, shooting 19 of 31 overall and 10 of 15 from beyond the arc.
Kawhi Leonard and Paul George combined for 88 points
This is the performance that people have been waiting to see from the Clippers’ prized free agents.
Kawhi Leonard (42 PTS, 11 REB) and Paul George (46 PTS, 5 REB, 7 AST) combined their powers to drop 88 points in a 124-117 victory over the Timberwolves.
Other results:
The Lakers barely survived the Heat, 113-110. LeBron James barely missed a triple double (28 PTS, 9 REB, 12 AST) and got a lot of help from his superstar buddy Anthony Davis (33 PTS, 10 REB, 3 BLK). The Heat have nothing to be ashamed about, they are going to be real contenders this year.
The Sixers overcame the Pelicans 116-109 in a game that saw dominant performances from Ben Simmons (24 PTS, 11 AST), Tobias Harris (31 PTS, 5 REB), and Joel Embiid (24 PTS, 11 REB).
The Kings found a way to play down to the level of competition again. Their patented third quarter implosion led to the Knicks overcoming a 16 point deficit to win 103-101.
The Jazz found themselves challenged by a feisty young Warriors team, but Donovan Mitchell (28 PTS, 4 REB) led the way to a 114-106 win.
Giannis Antetokounmpo (37 PTS, 11 REB, 4 AST) looked right back in shape after missing one game for the Bucks in 127-114 win over the Grizzlies.
Malcolm Brogdon (19 PTS, 11 AST) led the Indiana Pacers to a 110-100 win over the Atlanta Hawks.
The Hornets beat the Bulls 83-73 in a game that looked like it should have been played in the mid 2000s.
