The Minnesota Timberwolves will look to victimize the Toronto Raptors again, as the two teams lock horns at Scotiabank Arena. That is going to be easier said than done, though, especially with the Raptors getting a big shot in the arm following a rare win.

Away: Minnesota Timberwolves (8-6/3-4 Away)
Projected Starting Five:
- Mike Conley
- Anthony Edwards
- Jaden McDaniels
- Julius Randle
- Rudy Gobert
The Timberwolves are turning things around, as they have won two games in a row following a skid that saw them lose three consecutive outings. In their most recent game, the T’wolves escaped with a 120-117 win at home over the Phoenix Suns last Monday.
The duo of Julius Randle and Anthony Edwards has shined for Minnesota in the last two Minnesota games. Randle is settling in with his new team, as he’s averaged 30.5 points on 47.5 FG% in Minnesota’s last two contests while Edwards put up 30.0 points over the same stretch. Randle and Edwards took turns in punishing Toronto at home in a 112-101 win late last October, as they combined for 48 points.
Minnesota enters the rematch with the Raptors with a 5-5 record against the spread in its last 10 games in Toronto, dating back to 2015.
Home: Toronto Raptors (3-12/3-4 Home)
Projected Starting Five:
- Davion Mitchell
- Gradey Dick
- Ochai Agbaji
- RJ Barrett
- Jakob Poeltl
Toronto is one of the worst teams in the league this season. However, the Raptors are going into this meeting with Minnesota with some momentum, thanks to a 130-119 win at home over the Indiana Pacers last Tuesday. RJ Barrett saved the day for Toronto, as the former Duke Blue Devils star dropped 39 points on the Pacers while shooting 13/21 from the field and adding nine rebounds and five assists.
Jakob Poeltl, however, can’t be slept on anymore, as the former first-round pick continues his surprisingly hot stretch. Poeltl, who scored 30 points against the Pacers, has averaged 23.5 points on 65.9 FG% in the last five Toronto outings. Rudy Gobert will give Poeltl a tough challenge, but for what it’s worth, the Raptors center recently lit up the powerful Boston Celtics with a 35-point outburst.
The Raptors are 5-1 against the spread in their last six games as the home team.
