The Memphis Grizzlies have already scored a win at the expense of the Phoenix Suns this season, but they will look to do it again, this time with a much healthier crew. The Suns, on the other hand, will try to move above .500 again when they host the Grizzlies in Kevin Durant’s first game back from an injury.

Away: Memphis Grizzlies (35-17, 14-11 Away)

Projected Starting Five:

  • Ja Morant
  • Desmond Bane
  • Jaylen Wells
  • Jaren Jackson Jr.
  • Zach Edey

After winning four straight games, the Grizzlies got humbled in a 125-112 home loss last Sunday to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Nevertheless, Memphis is in great form. Only the Thunder have a better record in the Western Conference at the time of this writing. And with two days of rest, the Grizzlies should be feeling great heading into the rematch against the Suns, who lost to Memphis on Jan. 1, 117-112. Ja Morant and Zach Edey were not available due to injuries in the first meeting with the Suns. This time around, the Grizzlies have all their starters and key backups healthy. Among them are Jaren Jackson Jr. and Desmond Bane, who torched the Suns the first time out for 38 and 31 points, respectively. Memphis is the highest-scoring team in the NBA right now, averaging 133.

The Grizzlies have covered the spread in six of their last 10 games and in three of their last four outings. Additionally, Memphis is 7-3 against the spread in its last 10 regular-season games against the Suns.

Home: Phoenix Suns (26-26, 16-10 Home)

Projected Starting Five:

  • Tyus Jones
  • Devin Booker
  • Ryan Dunn
  • Kevin Durant
  • Nick Richards

The Suns will come into this meeting with Memphis in wobbly form. They are just 1-4 straight up in their last five games, including a 122-105 loss at the hands of the Denver Nuggets at home on Sunday. The good news for Phoenix is the looming return to action of Kevin Durant, who is just 26 points away from reaching the 30,000-point plateau. Durant missed the last three Suns games with an ankle issue. With Durant back, Devin Booker will get much-needed help on offense, especially with Bradley Beal ruled out for Wednesday’s outing due to a toe injury. Over the Suns’ last five games, Booker has averaged 32.2 points on 50.5 field goal percentage. As a team, Phoenix put up 115.2 points in that same stretch on just 44.4 percent shooting from the floor. Durant’s return should raise the floor and ceiling of the Suns’ offense which has been so reliant on Booker of late.

The Suns are 2-2 against the spread in their last four games as the home team. For what it’s worth, they are also 13-12-0 ATS so far this season in games after a loss.
