The New York Knicks are looking to get over the .500 mark, and they have an opportunity to do so against their cross-town rivals the Brooklyn Nets. Catch this game at 8:30 AM on November 10, 2022, Manila time.

Away: New York Knicks (5-5, 2-3 Away)

Projected Starting Five:

  • PG: Jalen Brunson
  • SG: RJ Barrett
  • SF: Cam Reddish
  • PF: Julius Randle
  • C: Jericho Sims

The Knicks got a good game from Julius Randle in their last contest, where he finished with 31 points, eight rebound and three assists while shooting 9 of 15 from the field and 8 of 13 from three. Jalen Brunson added another 23 points, five rebounds and eight assists, while RJ Barrett had 22 points, five rebounds, and five assists.

They’ll need a similar output from the Knicks, though it’s reasonable to believe that Randle’s three-point shooting will come back down to earth. Jalen Brunson will need to be particularly aggressive because of Kyrie Irving’s absence on the other side.

The Knicks are 3-2-0 ATS as the away underdog this season.

Home: Brooklyn Nets (4-7, 2-4 Home)

Projected Starting Five:

  • PG: Edmond Summer
  • SG: Royce O’Neale
  • SF: Kevin Durant
  • PF: Ben Simmons
  • C: Nic Claxton

The Nets are 2-1 so far while playing without Kyrie Irving, and Kevin Durant has averaged 27 points, seven rebounds, 5.7 assists and 1.7 blocks in that timespan. They’ll need another big night from him, because Irving’s offensive production is hard to replace, especially with the likes of Ben Simmons on the floor.

Joe Harris and Patty Mills will also need to contribute, as their three-point shooting could be the difference maker for the Nets. Yuta Watanabe has shown himself to be an energizer off the bench, and they could use more of that.

Royce O’Neale has also been effective in Irving’s absence, and he’s averaging 35.9 minutes a game along with 11.3 points, 3.7 rebounds and 7.0 assists while shooting 44.4% from beyond the arc.

The Nets are 1-4-0 ATS as the home favorite.

PREDICTION:

Spread: I think the Knicks wear down the Nets and cover the +2.5 spread.

Over/Under: This feels to me like a game where the under 222 hits.
