The Utah Jazz continue to play above expectations, but now visit the LA Clippers for another big test. Catch this game on Monday, November 7, at 11 AM Manila time.

Away: Utah Jazz (7-3, 3-3 Away)

Projected Starting Five:

  • PG: Mike Conley
  • SG: Jordan Clarkson
  • SF: Lauri Markannen
  • PF: Jarred Vanderbilt
  • C: Kelly Olynyk

Man, things just keep rolling for the Utah Jazz. In their more recent game, they blew out the LA Lakers 130-116 thanks to Lauri Markannen’s 27 points, 13 rebounds and four assists. Markannen has upped his game this year, averaging 22.2 points, 9.4 rebounds and 2.7 assists and has become the poster boy of the resilient Jazz.

He’s gotten a lot of help from our boy Jordan Clarkson, who is averaging 17.4 points and 5.3 assists as well, and he had 20 points, seven rebounds and three assists against the Lakers. When those two start getting hot, it’s hard to ever count them out. This game against the Clippers will be a litmus test for Jazz’s resilience, though, as they’re going to have to try to find a way to stop Paul George.

The Jazz are currently 7-3-0 ATS so far this season.

Home: LA Clippers (5-4, 1-2 Home)

Projected Starting Five:

  • PG: Reggie Jackson
  • SG: Luke Kennard
  • SF: Paul George
  • PF: Marcus Morris Sr.
  • C: Ivica Zubac

The Clippers still can’t get a lot of games from Kawhi Leonard, who has only played two games so far this season while averaging 12.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and two assists. He will again be unavailable against the Jazz, taking away one of their most important weapons.

This means that the responsibility will again fall on Paul George’s shoulders, who has been excellent on both ends of the court this season with averages of 23.8 points, six rebounds, 4.9 assists and 1.9 steals. Since it’s still early season, the toll of his huge usage rate hasn’t taken much effect yet, so you can expect him to give his best. He played 38 minutes in their last game against the San Antonio Spurs while finishing with 32 points and six blocks.

If anyone needs to have a big games for the Clippers, it’s going to be Ivica Zubac, who will need to clamp down on Kelly Olynyk. Zubac was a beast against the Spurs and finished with 17 points, 15 rebounds and four blocks. Reggie Jackson has also been mercurial with his performances, and he’ll need to be efficient with his shot to help the Clippers get the W.

The Clippers are 3-6-0 ATS this season.

PREDICTION:

Spread: I feel that the Jazz will cover +3.5.

Over/Under: I think the over 221 hits.
