The Los Angeles Lakers and the Los Angeles Clippers will have their second date of the season, this time with the flooring of the Crypto.com Arena carrying Clippers colorrs. Will the Lakers avenge their earlier loss to the Clippers? Orr, will the Clippers add to the growing woes of the struggling Purple & Gold?

Catch this game live on Thursday, November 10, at 11 AM, Manila time

Away: Los Angeles Lakers (2-8/0-4 Away)

Projected Starting Five:

  • PG: Patrick Beverley (questionable)
  • SG: Lonnie Walker IV (questionable)
  • SF: Troy Brown Jr.
  • PF: LeBron James (questionable)
  • C: Anthony Davis

The Lakers are collecting losses once again. After winning two games in a row recently against the Denver Nuggets and the New Orleans Pelicans, the Lakers have gone 0-3 straight up. The last time they were on the floor, the Lakers suffered a 139-116 beatdown at the hands of the rebuilding Utah Jazz in Salt Lake City on Tuesday. However, the Lakers were missing plenty of bodies in that game, none more notable than LeBron James due to left foot soreness.

LeBron can be viewed as questionable for the rematch against the Clippers. In the Lakers’ 103-97 home loss to the Clippers back in October, James had 20 points, while Anthony Davis poured in 25 in a losing effort. Russell Westbrook went 0/11 from the field and finished with just 2 points in that contest, but he’s been a whole lot better since. When they’re the road team in this matchup, the Lakers have covered the spread in eight of their last 15 meetings with the Clippers.

Home: Los Angeles Clippers (6-5/2-3 Home)

Projected Starting Five:

  • PG: Reggie Jackson
  • SG: Norman Powell
  • SF: Paul George
  • PF: Marcus Morris Sr.
  • C: Ivica Zubac

The Clippers are in a much more favorable situation than the Lakers. After losing to the Jazz last Monday (110-102), the Clippers returned to their winning ways and defeated the red-hot Cleveland Cavaliers at home Tuesday, 119-117. Paul George scattered 26 points on 10/20 shooting across 40 minutes versus the Cavs, while Marcus Moriss Sr. provided 20 points.

The Clippers are still without Kawhi Leonard, who has already been declared out indefinitely, but LA doesn’t really seem it desperately needs him to beat the bumbling Lakers. In their win over LeBron and company, George had 15 points, while Ivica Zubac and Moris each had 14 points. Leonard and John Wall combined fo 29 bench points in that contest, and with both of them sidelined, guys like Norman Powell and Reggie Jackson will have to step up. They look ready to do just that after putting up 35 points together in the win over the Cavs.

PREDICTIONS:

Spread: The Clippers (-5) cover the spread.

Over/Under: The total (220.5) hits the Under.
