Away: Atlanta Dream (21-13, 9-7 Away)

Projected Starting Five:

  • Allisha Gray
  • Jordin Canada
  • Naz Hillmon
  • Rhyne Howard
  • Angel Reese

Atlanta had its dream of beating Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever crushed on Monday. The Dream were so close to scoring a win in that game, but they missed three consecutive shots in the dying seconds of regulation before the Fever took over in overtime to hand Atlanta a 95-91 loss. It was the Dream’s first loss in three games.

Nevertheless, Atlanta is still looking great with a 21-13 record. Now, Angel Reese and the Dream will look to get back to their winning ways and avoid a regular-season sweep at the hands of reigning WNBA champions Aces. Atlanta lost a close one, 85-84, to the Aces in May and was dominated in a 109-87 loss in a rematch earlier this month. On the season, Atlanta is seventh in the WNBA with a 107.0 offensive rating and sixth with an 83.6 defensive rating.

Home: Las Vegas Aces (24-12, 11-6 Home)

Projected Starting Five:

  • Chelsea Gray
  • Stephanie Talbot
  • Jackie Young
  • NaLyssa Smith
  • A’ja Wilson

Like the Dream, Las Vegas is looking to bounce back after suffering a loss in its most recent outing. The Aces lost a high-profile showdown against the league-leading Minnesota Lynx on Sunday at home, 92-87. A’ja Wilson put up 32 points on 10/15 shooting with seven rebounds, but the Lynx held on for the win. Meanwhile, NaLyssa Smith and Chelsea Gray produced 17 and 12 points, respectively, for the Aces, who have been shaky of late.

They have won just two of their last five outings. Jackie Young is another name to watch out for in this matchup against the Dream. She scored only eight points in the loss to Minnesota, but had 28 points with four 3-pointers in the last meeting with the Dream. The Aces are top five in the league in both offensive rating (111.3) and defensive rating (82.9).
