The first series of the day was the most important one, with eighth place OMG (7W 6L) looking to secure at least one more victory this week to ensure their place in the playoffs.

This was not an easy task for today, as they were up against an eStar squad (10W 4L) who are currently third in the standings.

eStar were understandably favored (1.48 to 2.29), but had shown vulnerability of late, winning only one of their last four series. OMG had gone 2-2 in their last four.

It’s a tough last week overall for OMG, who are also going to take on EDG and Team WE this week, with the former sitting in fifth place and the latter one position below them in the standings.

The big matchup to watch was the mid lane battle between Cryin and Icon, and Cryin was an unstoppable force in his last series.

Game 1:

OMG: Xiaobai (Renekton), Wei (Trundle), Cryin (Corki), Wink (Miss fortune), ShiauC (Sett)

eStar: Curse (Gangplank), H4cker (Lee Sin), icon (Azir), Smlz (Senna), cold (Tahm Kench)

The first casualty of the game came from OMG’s Cold as he and Smlz lost a 3v2 in the bottom lane.

eStar started the first dragon in the sixth minute, but OMG forced them away and stole the first infernal soul. They did manage to grab the first herald , though. They used it immediately to take the top lane T1 tower to just a little over one plate left, and also took out H4cker for a 2-0 kill score.

Curse found himself caught out in the 10th minute, further pushing the eStar lead to 3-0. The gold advantage was also close to 2K at this point.

The teams traded kills in the 12th minute, which could have ended in OMG’s favor if icon didn’t miss his ult. Cold and Smlz found themselves in trouble in the bottom lane a minute later and eStar too advantage to push further into a 6-1 lead along with grabbing their first dragon of the game and a 3K gold advantage.

Curse got himself ganked in the top lane as OMG lost the top lane T1 turretin the 15th minute, and eStar also took down a herald and immediately used it to clear the mid lane T1 turret. OMG then lost a big team fight, managing to take xiaobai and Cryin down but finding themselves deleted and sinking further into a 12-3 deficit in the kill score along with being behind 6K gold.

eStar grabbed their second dragon of the game in the 19th minute, and they simply couldn’t find an answer as eStar’s advantage continued to snowball.

The big team fight happened in the mid lane in the 24th minute, and OMG lost everyone but Curse. That 16-4 advantage also allowed eStar to grab the Baron, but Curse was able to steal the dragon, giving both teams two apiece.

eStar took down the top and mid lane inhibitors in the 27th minute and pushed their gold lead to over 10K. They then took their third dragon in the 30th minute. Wei, Wink, and cryin grabbed the Baron a minute later.

All of OMG’s inhibitors went down in the 33rd minute, and the loss came shortly after. eStar finished with a 20-6 kill advantage and a 13k gold lead.

Cryin (23.6K) and Wink (22.5K) led all damage dealers in the game. Both finished with 6 kills. Wink used Miss Fortune’s bullet time well on a consistent basis.

Game 2:

OMG: Xiaobai (Renekton), Wei (Rek Sai), Cryin (Azir) , Wink (Varus), ShiauC (Leona)

eStar: Curse (Aatrox), H4cker (Elise), icon (Cassiopeia), Smlz (Kalista), cold (Nautilus)

OMG’s setup was exposed by eStar in the first game, so they needed to figure out a better comp.

Curse fell to a gank in the top lane in the third minute, but Wink and ShiauC found themselves on the losing end of a fight in the bottom lane for a 2-1 kill lead to OMG.

Wei soloed the dragon in the sixth minute to grab the infernal soul for eStar, OMG then took the first herald in the eighth minute.

Wei and icon traded deaths to make the score 3-2 in OMG’s advantage in the ninth minute – but eStar then tanked Smlz to tie it at 3-3. OMG used their herald to take down the T1 turret in the bot lane, but Xiaobai pegged back to take the top lane T1 turret for eStar.

ShaiuC overextended in the 13th minute and got taken down to give OMG a 4-3 lead. Smlz found himself on the wrong end of a 4v1 as eStar went to pick up a rift herald.

A big team fight broke out shortly after which let eStar flip the kill lead to 8-6 and then also take a 3K gold lead.

A 5v5 started up as eStar grabbed their second dragon in the game, and Curse, cold, Smlz and icon found themselves going down again for a 12-6 lead as estar doubled their gold lead to 6K.

eStar grabbed the Baron in the 20th minute, and they were again rolling in a manner reminiscent of game 1. Wink made a mistake though and got himself taken out in the 22nd minute, making it difficult for eStar to really push their Baron advantage.

OMG took a second dragon of their own shortly after, but that gave Xiaobai the opening to take down the final T2 turret.

It was quiet for a while, until eStar started the Baron to bait OMG, but OMG came on top of the fight by separating Xiaobai from his team to close the kill gap to 12-9.

eStar picked up their third dragon in the 28th minute, and then wisely ran away quickly from a potential 5v3 situation.

eStar were able to take down the Baron, and traded four kills to three, but by this time OMG cut the lead to 15-13. The two teams traded three kills apiece at the dragon, but OMG were able to get their third soul of the game.

The momentum started to move away from eStar as OMG continued to cut into the gold lead. However, eStar went for the Baron in the 37th minute and took it down along with winning the crucial team fight that saw all of OMG deleted.

eStar finished off the game to push their record to 11-4, and OMG again found themselves at a 50% win clip with a 7-7 record along with a ton of pressure to sweat out their upcoming games against EDG and Team WE.

Cryin led eStar with 26.8K damage and a 7/2/14 performance and winning out his matchup against icon.
