This is bound to be an uphill battle for the Sixers, who are on the road without Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons. Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, and the rest of the Clippers have been dominant over their last few games too.

HOME TEAM: LA Clippers (40-19, 24-6 at home)

The Clippers are winners of three straight games. They have won by 27, 10, and 29 points in that span, shooting 42.1% from three and 49.4% overall.

Head coach Doc Rivers and his men are in a vengeful mood as they that got beat by the Sixers in the last meeting, 110-103. Kawhi Leonard was in his usual self in that contest, posting a game-high 30 points to go along nine assists. His co-All-Star and number one scoring partner, Paul George, had a rough outing that day (11 pts, 3-for-15 FGs) and mostly in the past week, where he had three consecutive games of shooting below 31%. PG just broke out of the slump on Saturday’s 132-103 win over the Denver Nuggets. We’ll if he can carry it over for tomorrow.

Lou Williams, Montrezl Harrell, and Marcus Morris will lead the supporting crew as usual. Reggie Jackson can be in that mix as well. He has scored in double digits over his last two despite not playing more than 18 minutes.

ROAD TEAM: Philadelphia 76ers (37-23, 9-21 on the road)

The Sixers are on a seven-game losing streak on the road and will be on the starting point of what could be an ugly stretch. They are opening up a four-game road trip, where they have been awful all season. Their 9-21 record away from Philly is the worst among playoff teams and 25th in the league. If that’s not enough concern, All-Stars Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons are both injured.

Embiid and Simmons, both had a team-high 26 points in the victory against the Clippers three weeks back. With the absence, Tobias Harris will be carrying the offense. He hasn’t been as consistent as he should’ve, but this past Friday – the first time all season that the Sixers’ are without their two starts, he did manage to have 34 points on 14-for-21 shooting.

Josh Richardson is the other key option. He hasn’t had much impact over his last seven outings (9.6 PPG, 37.3 FG%), but like Harris, there’s one encouraging factor – he had 21 points in that previous meeting with the Clipps.

PREDICTION:

Philly is almost an automatic L on the road and will be playing without their pair of stars, while the Clippers have Kawhi, PG, and good momentum. They should be able to take this one easily, 118-105.
