The Barangay Ginebra and the Terrafirma Dyip will each look to cap their June schedule with a victory when they lock horns inside the Ynares Arena in Pasig this Friday. Will Ginebra flatten the Dyip? Or, will Terrafirma down the Barangay?

Barangay Ginebra San Miguel (3-3)

The Barangay will go for their third win in a row when they face off with the Dyip this Friday. A couple of players to watch out for on the side of Ginebra are Von Pessumal and Jeremiah Gray, who both came up with superb performances in the Barangay’s 108-107 win over the previously undefeated Rain or Shine Elasto Painters at Ynares Arena (Pasig) last Sunday.
Pessumal went off for 29 points against ROS, while Gray added 19 points. Gray is leading Ginebra in scoring during the PBA on TOUR with 14.5 points per game, while Raymond Aguilar and Pessumal are second and third with 12.8 and 11.3 points per contest, respectively. As a team, Ginebra is averaging 89.5 points.
Terrafirma Dyip (3-4)

It’s not always that PBA fans see Terrafirma with three wins after seven games, but that’s where the Dyip are at right now. Terrafirma went under .500 after losing to the Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters last Friday at Ynares Arena (Pasig) on June 22. That also meant that the Dyip will have fresher legs (or wheels) than Ginebra when these teams clash Friday night. Terrafirma leading scorer Juami Tiongson did not suit up for Terrafirma in the Phoenix game.
Tiongson is averaging 23.8 points per game on 46 percent shooting from the floor. But even if he’s to miss another game, Terrafirma has plenty of weapons to source its offense. Among them are Eric Camson and Ed Daquioag. Camson recently exploded for 30 points in a win over the Meralco Bolts, while Daquioag had 15 points to go with six rebounds and three steals in the loss to the Fuel Masters.
