The Utah Jazz and the Phoenix Suns will see each other for the second time this season, with both teams coming off losses. With an opportunity to get back to the win column this weekend, will Utah hand the Suns another loss? Or, will Phoenix snap its skid and avenge its defeat earlier this week against the Jazz?

Away: Utah Jazz (2-2, 0-1 Away)
Projected Starting Five:
- Svi Mykhailiuk
- Keyonte George
- Kyle Filipowski
- Lauri Markkanen
- Walker Kessler
The Jazz are looking to play a much more consistent music on the floor this season, as they have yet to win back-to-back games. They are coming off a 136-134 loss in Salt Lake City at the hands of the Portland Trail Blazers on Thursday, which came after a 138-134 overtime victory against the Suns, also in Utah, last Tuesday. One thing about the Jazz is that offense doesn’t seem to be hard to come by for them.
They are seventh in the league with a 121.3 offensive efficiency. The Jazz always find a way to get to the line, as backed by the fact that Utah is sixth with 30.5 attempts per game from the foul line. In the first meeting with Phoenix, the Jazz went 34-for-36 from the stripe, including a perfect 17-for-17 there from Lauri Markkanen, who erupted for 51 points. If this is going to be yet another shootout between Utah and Phoenix, the Jazz certainly have the weapons to keep up. Along with Markkanen are Keyonte George and a seemingly improving Walker Kessler, who is averaging a career-high 17.0 points per outing.
The Jazz are 4-3 against the spread in their last seven visits to Phoenix.

Home: Phoenix Suns (1-4, 1-1 HomeHome)
Projected Starting Five:
- Grayson Allen
- Devin Booker
- Ryan Dunn
- Royce O’Neale
- Mark Williams
The Suns are on a free-fall early in the season. After kicking off their campaign with a 120-116 takedown of the Sacramento Kings, Devin Booker and the Suns have gone on a downward spiral, losing four straight games heading into the rematch against the Jazz. In their most recent outing, the Suns were victimized by a Ja Morant dagger in a 114-113 home loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Thursday. The defeat wasted Booker’s 32-point effort, though, he shot just 10-for-26 from the field.
Win or lose, Booker just keeps on churning out buckets. He is averaging 29.2 points per game while posting a 54.1 effective field goal percentage on the season. He’s getting some help from the likes of Grayson Allen and Mark Williams, but Phoenix’s likely would be in better shape if Jalen Green is available. Green has yet to make his Suns debut as a hamstring issue continues to hold him back, but he’s considered day-to-day, so his return appears to be close for the 23-year-old guard. Meanwhile, Dillon Brooks is also day-to-day at the time of this writing with a groin issue.
The Suns are 3-0 against the spread in their last three home games.
