Away: Utah Jazz (5-8, 1-5 Away)
Projected Starting Five:
- Keyonte George
- Svi Mykhailiuk
- Ace Bailey
- Lauri Markkanen
- Jusuf Nurkic
The Jazz are coming off a marathon 150-147 double-overtime win over the Chicago Bulls on Monday. The tandem of Keyonte George and Lauri Markkanen torched the Bulls, who couldn’t stop the 1-2 punch of the Jazz. George went off for 33 points, including the game-winner triple, while Markkanen put up 47 points with six 3-pointers. Markkanen has been on a tear of late, as he’s averaged 40.7 points on a 55.8 percent shooting from the floor.
He won’t be able to sustain that for a long period, but the Jazz will keep on riding on who’s got the hot hand. And while the Jazz have already lost star big man Walker Kessler for the rest of the season, they’re still posting solid rebounding numbers. Utah may just be 26th in the NBA with a 51.9 eFG%, but the Jazz are sixth with 18.4 second-chance points per game, thanks in large part to their 30.8 percent offensive rebound rate – fourth-best in the NBA.

Home: Los Angeles Lakers (10-4, 3-2 Home)
Projected Starting Five:
- Luka Doncic
- Austin Reaves
- Rui Hachimura
- LeBron James (Questionable)
- Deandre Ayton
Is The King about to make his royal debut in the 2025-26 NBA season this Wednesday? Four-time NBA Most Valuable Player LeBron James has been upgraded to questionable ahead of the Jazz game, where he could make his first appearance this season. James has yet to set foot on the court in his 23rd season in the league due to a back issue, but there is some optimism that he’ll be able to suit up versus the Jazz.
Either way, Los Angeles appears to be Luka Doncic’s team now. Doncic has been nothing but incredible so far. The former NBA scoring champion just dropped 41 points on Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks in a 119-95 win in Cream City on Sunday. On the season, Doncic is averaging 34.4 points while shooting 46.9 percent from the field. Leading the Lakers’ attack that is fifth in the league with a 57.1 eFG%, Doncic could have another big night this Wednesday versus the Jazz’s defense that is just 24th in the NBA with a 118.1 defensive rating.
