Both the Sacramento Kings and Toronto Raptors are on the second leg of a back-to-back. Who gets the W?
Catch the game tomorrow, November 3rd, at 7:30 AM, Manila time.
AWAY: Sacramento Kings (3-2 AWAY)
Projected starting five:
- De’Aaron Fox
- Kevin Huerter
- DeMar DeRozan
- Keegan Murray
- Domantas Sabonis
The Kings have now racked up three-straight wins after starting the season with back-to-back losses. On Saturday, they outlasted the Hawks in an entertaining battle, 123-115. The trio of De’Aaron Fox, Domantas Sabonis and new King DeMar DeRoan led the way.
The Kings’ Big Three are at the center of it all, as each are averaging over 22 per game in five games thus far, alongside their other key numbers: Fox with 23.4 points, 6.6 assists, and 2.0 steals (50.6 FG%), Sabonis with 22.4 points and an all-around 11.6 rebounds and 5.6 dimes (64.1 FG%), and DeRozan at 23.8 points, 4.8 boards, 3.6 assists, and 2.2 steals.
Beyond the three are a handful of reliable secondary weapons, particularly shooters Keegan Murray and Kevin Huerter, and microwave guard Malik Monk. All three are capable of providing quite the damage at any given night.
Sacramento averages 117.8 PPG on the season.
HOME: Toronto Raptors (1-5, HOME)
Projected starting five:
- Davion Mitchell
- RJ Barrett
- Ochai Agbaji
- Gradey Dick
- Jakob Poeltl
The Raptors will enter from the opposite side of the spectrum as they are losers in each of their last four games. On Saturday, they lost to the Los Angeles Lakers, 131-125, and fell short of a 25-point comeback bid.
Injuries are left and right as Immanuel Quickley was lost without a timetable in the season-opener, followed by Scottie Barnes for up to three weeks just days ago. That has opened up opportunities for others, though, which is nice to see.
With RJ Barrett taking over the main scoring role (28.0 PPG, 7.7 APG, 54.1 FG%), and Jakob Poeltl doing his usual double-double stuff (14.5 PPG, 12.5 RPG), second-year wing Gradey Dick has emerged as a no. 2 weapon, and has upped his output to 20.8 PPG in his first six games. He can only get better, and it will be fun to see how far he can take this while two starters are out.
Ochai Agbaji, Davion Mitchell, and Jamal Shead are there in spurts too. Don’t be shocked if they contribute well tomorrow, especially since it’s Day 2 of a back-to-back.
Toronto averages 117.5 PPG on the season.
