The Portland Trail Blazers and the Phoenix Suns will duke it out in the desert this Wednesday for the No. 7 seed in the Western Conference. Will the Blazers overcome their road disadvantage and beat Phoenix? Or, will the Suns’ glare be too much for Portland?

Catch this game live on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at 10:00 AM, Manila time.

Away: Portland Trail Blazers

Projected Starting Five:

  • Jrue Holiday
  • Toumani Camara
  • Deni Avdija
  • Jerami Grant (Questionable)
  • Donovan Clingan

The Blazers enter the Play-in Tournament with momentum. They won their last two games in the regular season with victories over the Los Angeles Clippers (116-97) and the Sacramento Kings (122-110), which were both home games.

Although the Suns won the regular-season series against Portland, 2-1, the Trail Blazers won the last meeting on Feb. 23 to the tune of a 92-77 score, and that was also in a game played at Mortgage Matchup Center in Phoenix — the same site of this Play-in Tournament game.

Meanwhile, Trail Blazers star forward Jerami Grant appears to be a game-time decision due to a calf injury. He and Donovan Clingan came up huge for Portland in the February meeting with the Suns, in which they each scored 23 points on a combined 18/26 shooting from the field.

Home: Phoenix Suns

Projected Starting Five:

  • Devin Booker
  • Jalen Green Grayson Allen
  • Jordan Goodwin
  • Dillon Brooks
  • Mark Williams

The Suns have their eyes on returning to the NBA Playoffs after missing the boat to the postseason in 2025. They will have their shot in this game against Portland, which, as mentioned, Phoenix has defeated twice in the regular season. And in the only game they lost to Portland, the Suns did not have the services of Devin Booker, Dillon Brooks and Grayson Allen, who all sat out because of injuries.

That is quite telling about Phoenix’s chances to bring down the Blazers this Wednesday.  Booker and Brooks are both ready to go for the Play-in Tournament matchup against Portland, while Allen is questionable at the time of this writing with a hamstring issue.

As for their recent form, the Suns have been up-and-down of late, alternating wins and losses in their last six games, during which they have gone 3-3 straight-up.
