The Philadelphia 76ers and the Milwaukee Bucks are both coming off losses, and one of them is about to make it back in the win column. Will the Sixers add to the mounting woes of Milwaukee, which is already missing “The Greek Freak?” Or, will the Bucks survive their first game without their best player?

Away: Philadelphia 76ers (8-6, 3-3 Away)
Projected Starting Five:
- Tyrese Maxey
- VJ Edgecombe
- Dominick Barlow
- Justin Edwards
- Andre Drummond
The 76ers are back on the road after splitting two games at home. Philly defeated the Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday, 110-108, to welcome Paul George back with a victory. But the Sixers were also victimized soon after by the Toronto Raptors on Thursday, 121-112. George, who scored nine points versus the Clippers, sat out the Toronto game as part of a maintenance plan, so expect him to be back in action this Friday. Meanwhile, Joel Embiid has missed the last four games due to knee injury management.
There is no telling at the moment if Embiid will take the floor against Milwaukee, but Andre Drummond will be ready in case he’s needed to step in place of “The Process.” Either way, it seems that Philly is now Tyrese Maxey’s team. Maxey is leading the Sixers in both points (32.5 per game) and assists (7.7). Rookie VJ Edgecombe is also creating noise, forming a dangerous backcourt combo with Maxey. Edgecombe is putting up 15.5 points per game, while shooting 37.5 percent from deep.

Home: Milwaukee Bucks (8-7, 5-3 Home)
Projected Starting Five:
- Ryan Rollins
- Gary Trent Jr.
- AJ Green
- Kyle Kuzma
- Myles Turner
The biggest news out of Milwaukee of late is that the Bucks will be without Giannis Antetokounmpo for a while. Antetokounmpo suffered a groin injury in the Bucks’ 118-106 road loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday. The injury to the two-time NBA Most Valuable Player makes life harder for the Bucks, who are already on a two-game losing skid and have lost three of their last four outings.
It will be tough to fill the numbers Antetokounmpo is leaving on the table for now, as he is putting up 31.2 points on a 62.9 FG%, 10.8 rebounds and 6.8 assists, but Milwaukee can do it via a committee approach. Kyle Kuzma, Bobby Portis and Myles Turner all will have to step up. The absence of Antetokounmpo also gives Ryan Rollins a higher platform to show more of what he’s got. The former Toledo Rocket star is having his best season yet in the pros, averaging 17.4 points on a 51.3 FG% and 46.3 percent success rate from deep.
