The Oklahoma City Thunder and the Sacramento Kings will share the court for the second time this season as they cross paths anew this Saturday. The Thunder won the first one, 107-101, at home Oct. 29, but can they do it again, this time in Sacramento? Or, will the Kings get back at the Thunder, as Sacramento looks to win consecutive games for the first time this season?

Away: Oklahoma City Thunder (8-1, 4-1 Away)
Projected Starting Five:
- Cason Wallace
- Shai Gilgeous-Alexander
- Luguentz Dort (DTD)
- Chet Holmgren
- Isaiah Hartenstein
The Thunder aren’t going to go 82-0 after all. Oklahoma City suffered its first loss in the 2025-25 NBA season when the Bolts got stunned on the road by the Portland Trail Blazers, 121-119, on Wednesday. However, Oklahoma City was not at full strength in that contest, with Chet Holmgren out for maintenance purposes. But with some rest between the Blazers game and the meeting with Sacramento, Holmgren can be expected to suit up and see action this weekend. The former Gonzaga Bulldogs star did not suit up in OKC’s first meeting with the Kings, so his expected presence this time around will be a huge plus for the defending champs.
Lu Dort was also unavailable against Portland with a shoulder issue. He is considered day-to-day at the time of this writing for the matchup in Sacramento. The Thunder have bucked absences and injuries this season to win eight games in their first nine outings in large part because of the brilliance of the reigning NBA Most Valuable Player. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is averaging 33.1 points per game and had 31 points on 14-for-26 shooting in the win over Sacramento. Oklahoma City is also feeding off the ample production of the likes of Isaiah Joe, Ajay Williams, Isaiah Hartenstein and Aaron Wiggins, who are all putting up double-figure averages in scoring.
Home: Sacramento Kings (3-5, 2-1 Home)
Projected Starting Five:
- Dennis Schroder
- Russell Westbrook
- Zach LaVine DTD)
- DeMar DeRozan
- Domantas Sabonis (DTD)
The Kings were able to light the beam on Thursday, as they upended their Pacific division rival Golden State Warriors in a 121-116 win at home. Sacramento managed to do so despite missing two key starters. Domantas Sabonis sat the game out with a rib issue, while Zach LaVine was unavailable because of a back problem. Both are currently on a day-to-day status for the rematch against the Thunder. If they end missing Saturday’s game, Sacramento will mostly rely on its veteran duo of Russell Westbrook and DeMar DeRozan.
Westbrook reminded everyone of his trio-dub greatness with a monster stat line versus the Dubs, recording 23 points, 16 rebounds and 10 assists, while DeRozan put up 25 points while going 9-for-9 from the free-throw line. The two combined for 35 points in the previous matchup against Oklahoma City. Speaking of free throws, the Kings went 19-for-21 from the foul line in the loss to OKC, allowing them to cover the spread. That is a weapon Sacramento can utilize, especially if LaVine plays. LaVine leads the Kings with 6.0 FTAs per game, while DeRozan is second with 5.9 a night.
