All things considered, the Thunder are the best team in the Association right now, but they can’t afford to take their foot off the gas just yet, as they have yet to lock up the top seed in the Western Conference with three games left to play in the regular season. 

Oklahoma City is on a heater again, stitching together six wins in a row heading into this matchup against the Clippers. The Thunder are fresh off a 123-87 demolition of the banged-up Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday on the road, with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scoring 25 points to lead OKC.  

Facing his former team, SGA will look to make the Clippers regret their decision to let him go even more after he torched them for an average of 31.0 points on 57.9 FG% in the previous two meetings.

As a team, the Thunder are sixth in offensive rating (118.7) and first in defensive rating (106.5).

The Clippers took advantage of a soft schedule of late to add two more wins to their record after beating the Sacramento Kings (138-109) on the road on Monday and the Dallas Mavericks (116-103) at home on Wednesday. 

Kawhi Leonard scored 35 points on 11/19 shooting with four rebounds, three assists and a steal, while draining six triples against the Mavs. However, The Klaw could be sidelined for this game against the Thunder, given that it’s the second outing of a back-to-back set for Los Angeles. That said, Leonard has no injury designation at the time of this writing, a good sign for his availability. 

Of course, the Clippers operate at a higher level when Leonard is around. They are ninth in the league with a 117.2 offensive rating and sixth with a 56.0 eFG%.
