Indiana’s typically fluid offense ground to a halt as their stars struggled – Tyrese Haliburton’s 8-point outing, Pascal Siakam’s quiet 15 points, and Myles Turner’s mere 3 shot attempts won’t cut it in an elimination game – Aaron Nesmith and Andrew Nembhard were non-factors too.

Ben Mathurin’s 21-point contribution off the bench provides optimism, and the Pacers should benefit from returning to their home court where they’ve been dominant all postseason. Indiana must rediscover their signature ball movement and get their key players more involved early. With a raucous home crowd behind them, the Pacers have all the motivation they need to close out the series and avoid a pressure-packed Game 7 in New York. Their depth and versatility gives them multiple ways to attack New York’s defense – they just need to execute.
