Away: New York Knicks (48-25, 20-16 Away)

Projected Starting Five:

  • Jalen Brunson
  • Josh Hart
  • Mikal Bridges
  • OG Anunoby
  • Karl-Anthony Towns

The Knicks are one of the hottest teams today. Thanks in part to a soft schedule over their last several games, they have won seven games in a row, heading into this meeting with Charlotte.

In New York,s last outing, it escaped with a 121-116 win at home againt the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday.

Before that, the Knicks collected wins over the Indiana Pacers, Brooklyn Nets and Washington Wizards. Still, the Knicks have done their job, and will look to sustain their momentum as they start a four-game road trip with this clash versus Charlotte. New York is 2-0 SU against the Hornets so far this campaign, and both wins have been blowouts, with a combined winning margin of 43 points.

The Knicks have also covered the spread in five of their last 10 trips to Charlotte.

Home: Charlotte Hornets (38-34, 18-17 Home)

Projected Starting Five:

  • LaMelo Ball
  • Kon Knueppel
  • Brandon Miller
  • Miles Bridges
  • Moussa Diabate

The Hornets are on a roll themselves. They are undefeated through four games in their current homestand after defeating the lottery-bound Sacramento Kings on Wednesday, 134-90.

It was an easy work for Charlotte, as it has been doing so since the beginning of the home stand. In fact, they have won each of their assignments over that span by at least 19 points.

If they’re feeling unstoppable, it’s because they’ve been exactly that lately, having averaged 131.0 points and shot 52.4% from the field and 44.6% from deep in that stretch.  The Hornets even tied a franchise record of 26 3-pointers in their demolition job of Sacramento. The Knicks are not going to be as easy a customer as Sacramento for Charlotte, but the way the Hornets are shooting the ball should keep New York’s defense on its toes.

The Hornets are 9-1 against the spread in their last 10 game as the home team.
