The Miami Heat have had the Indiana Pacers’ number all season long, so they have all the momentum in the world. However, let’s not forget that closing out a series is always a tough challenge.

Catch Game 4 tomorrow at 6:30 AM (Manila time).

HOME TEAM: #5 Miami Heat (3-0)

The Heat jumped into a 3-0 series lead with not much resistance. No matter how it starts, the fourth quarter just falls into how they want it to be. They are averaging 115.3 points per game in the series and shooting a smooth 42.7% from beyond the arc.

The offense is boasting its usual Swiss-army knife attack and it is just as balanced as it was in the regular season. Five Heat players are scoring over 15 or more per game for the series, and the top two are above 22 PPG – Jimmy Butler (24.3 PPG) and Goran Dragic (22.7 PPG).

Two of the next top three scorers, meanwhile, are boasting solid numbers. Bam Adebayo and Duncan Robinson are each contributing over 15-plus points on a combined 54.5% from the floor.

ROAD TEAM: #4 Indiana Pacers (0-3)

The Pacers gave their toughest fight yet in Game 3 and still fell short. They only trailed by two (114-112) with 1:39 remaining, but went downhill from there as they proceeded to get outscored, 11-3. It’s clear they’re missing the services of All-Star Domantas Sabonis.

Indy is scoring 105.3 PPG in the series with fairly decent shooting percentages – 37.4% from three and 46.9% overall. The production isn’t too shabby as well, with four of the five starters punching in 13.7 PPG or better.

Point guard Malcolm Brogdon is leading the team in points and assists at 24.3 PPG and 11.3 APG. He’s fresh-off a superb Game 3, where he tallied game-highs 33 points and 14 assists. It’s tough to expect he’ll replicate those numbers but he’s certainly capable of filling those departments.

TJ Warren, who’s easily one of the five best players during the seeding games, has been relatively quiet. Though he’s at 19.7 PPG, it’s not posing any threat to the Heat defense. Former All-Star Victor Oladipo is on a similar boat with his abysmal shooting – 35.1 FG%, 31.8 3PFG%.

PREDICTIONS:

The Heat are no strangers to killing their own momentum. They have squandered a handful of leads all season, including a 23-point lead against the Milwaukee Bucks just last week.

Looking at the recent game, though, Miami may have sucked all of the fight out of the Pacers in Game 3. I expect them to close out tomorrow, 113-110.
