It’s an exciting clash of two hot-and-cold squads who are both gaining steam as of late.
Catch the game tomorrow at 10:00 AM, Manila time.
AWAY: Minnesota Timberwolves (25-21, 13-11 AWAY)
Projected starting five:
- Mike Conley
- Anthony Edwards
- Jaden McDaniels
- Julius Randle
- Rudy Gobert
The Timberwolves have won three in a row and are 8-4 over their last 12 games, which includes another win over Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets. They are scoring 113.6 points per game and surrendering 106.8 in that span.
True to his rise over the last year or so, Anthony Edwards is powering the team all through the struggles. He has 30.8 PPG in his last 13, highlighted by a 53-point outburst earlier in the month, albeit in a losing effort.
Edwards and Randle starred in the hard-fought 120-117 win vs. PHX last November 18th, wherein the latter had a team-high 35 points and buried the buzzer-beating three to win the game. Though he’s been panned for his effort and other chemistry issues with the group, that performance may be a source of confidence for tomorrow.
Defensive stoppers Rudy Gobert (11 pts, 10 rebs, 4 blks) and Jaden McDaniels (11 pts, 3 stls) were both impactful that night as well, and they are guys to watch out for.

HOME: Phoenix Suns (24-21, 15-8 HOME)
Projected starting five:
- Tyus Jones
- Devin Booker
- Ryan Dunn
- Kevin Durant
- Nick Richards
The Suns are working hard on their climb back in the Western Conference standings. They have now won eight of their last 10 games, putting up 115.9 points per game with a +3.9 point differential within that stretch.
Devin Booker led the Suns in that initial meeting with the T-Wolves, pouring in 44 points and seven assists in the defeat. He doesn’t have to carry that much on offense for tomorrow, though, as Kevin Durant (27.1 PPG), another headache for the defense, will be available this time.
New Sun Nick Richards is in an interesting clash with the Minnesota bigs. He’s netting 11.8 points and 11.2 boards per game on 62.9% shooting in five games with the team thus far. Bradley Beal, Grayson Allen, Tyus Jones, and rookie Ryan Dunn round out the supporting cast. Beal, whose 16.9 PPG on the season marks his lowest since 2015, has fallen off through that tier as he hasn’t fit well with Booker and Durant as the main men. He’s still capable of giving opponents tough buckets, though.
