The Timberwolves will hit the road for this third meeting with Denver, as they look to end their struggles versus Nikola Jokic and company. Minnesota has built a great momentum of late away from home, having won all of its last three outings on the road. The last one was a 127-120 victory in San Francisco over the Golden State Warriors. 

And while they have lost both of their first two encounters this season with Denver, those were played at Target Center and not in Mile High City, where the Timberwolves have won five of their last six trips there. They were also 5-1 against the spread in those six games. Anthony Edwards missed the first meeting with the Nuggets with an injury and played in the second one, scoring 26 points on an inefficient 8/23 shooting from the field, while bricking all eight attempts from behind the arc. He’s unlikely to be that bad from deep for the second time in a row in this season series.

The Nuggets return home for this matchup with Minnesota, with the mission to win the season series against the Timberwolves outright. As usual, Nikola Jokic can be expected to be a big thorn in the side of Minnesota. In the previous two games in this matchup, the Serbian big man put up 26.0 points on a 68.0 percent shooting from the field and 50.0 percent shooting from the 3-point area. 

But Jamal Murray has averaged more points in those games, having put up 33.0 points while recording a 49.0 field goal percentage. Jokic and Murray may have to a little bit more this time around, with Aaron Gordon still sidelined by an injury. Gordon played in both previous outings against Minnesota (16.0 PPG, 6.5 RPG, 50 3FG%).

The Nuggets enter this game with a 3-1 straight-up record in their last four contests as the home team. They were also 3-1 against the spread in those outings.
