The road-challenged Philadelphia 76ers are visiting the best team in the league. Are they in for another beating?

The series is tied at 1-1, with the home team winning convincingly on both occasions. The Milwaukee Bucks won the most recent meeting, 112-101.

HOME TEAM: Milwaukee Bucks (47-8, 25-3 at home)

The league-leading Bucks are continuing to showcase some fine basketball. They still haven’t lost back-to-back all season while also maintaining their top rank in scoring (119.7 PPG) and defensive rating.

Giannis Antetokounmpo, who struggled in the first meeting with the Sixers, played like a man possessed in the second encounter last February 7th. He was aggressive from the tip and eventually recorded game-highs 36 points, 20 rebounds, and six assists on 52% shooting. We can expect The Greek Freak to mirror those numbers tomorrow.

Khris Middleton (20.6 PPG) and Eric Bledsoe (15.7 PPG) are again slated to back the reigning Most Valuable Player, with Brook Lopez likely joining in as well. The shot-blocking, sweet-shooting big man is averaging 18.3 PPG in his last four.

ROAD TEAM: Philadelphia 76ers (35-21, 9-19 on the road)

The Sixers won their fourth-straight game on Friday after outlasting the Brooklyn Nets in overtime, 112-104. It’s great and all but you can bet that tomorrow’s road game and the season-long problems on the road are looming around their heads.

Philly’s appalling play outside their home turf is in its lowest point yet, as they have dropped five consecutive games on the road with an average losing margin of 17.2 points.

Joel Embiid had 39 points and 16 rebounds in the win over the Nets and he’ll look to build from that as he shot just 6-for-26 in his last game against the Bucks.

Tobias Harris, Al Horford, and Josh Richardson will be the secondary options with Ben Simmons still dealing with a back injury. He missed Friday’s game and is listed as day-to-day. Harris was the only Sixer to shine offensively in that meeting weeks back, where he scored a team-high 22 points on 10-for-23 shooting.

PREDICTION:

Embiid will play better than his previous performance in Milwaukee, but the mighty Bucks will ease past the Sixers again, 118-109. Look for Giannis to continue imposing his will on the Philly defense.
