The Milwaukee Bucks have been shaky in the bubble, and they’re looking to release the frustration on the young and depleted Brooklyn Nets.

HOME TEAM: Milwaukee Bucks (54-13, 29-3 at home)

It hasn’t been a good restart for the Bucks. They are 1-1 on the bubble and could’ve easily been 0-2. Although they edged out the Boston Celtics in their Disney debut, 119-112, it was ultimately underwhelming as they failed to fully capitalize on Kemba Walker’s limited playing time and Jayson Tatum’s dreadful shooting.

Then, this past Monday, Milwaukee fell to the Houston Rockets, 120-116. The team held the Rockets to just 39.6% shooting but made up for it by only going 9-for-35 from three and turning the ball over 22 times.

But, of course, being on the opposite sides of the East playoff picture, the first-seeded Bucks are looking good tomorrow. They’ve proved they can easily handle the Nets too. In the meeting last January 19, Milwaukee cruised to a 117-97 victory, led by Giannis Antetokounmpo scoring 29 points and grabbing 12 rebounds in only 25 minutes. Secondary options Khris Middleton (20 pts, 4 rebs, 4 ast, 3 stls) and Brook Lopez (12 pts, 5 blks) were solid as well.

ROAD TEAM: Brooklyn Nets (31-35, 12-20 on the road)

The Nets are also 1-1 on the bubble. After losing to the Orlando Magic, they showed they’re only the second-worst team in the restart by beating the hapless Washington Wizards, 118-110.

All kidding aside, it nicely showcased the potential of Brooklyn’s young core – Caris LeVert led the pack with 34 points, Jarrett Allen followed suit with a strong double-double of 22 points and 15 boards, and Joe Harris notched 27 points and went 6-for-7 from downtown.

As the Nets look to avoid a Greek Freak-sized beating, expect them to continue feeding the ball to the aforementioned trio. LeVert, the most explosive among the group, should again be the focal point of the offense. He’s the leading scorer among active Nets at 18.1 PPG.

PREDICTIONS:

The Bucks should be able to get this one with little resistance, 118-106. They are in need of momentum and I expect them to bully the Nets to build rhythm.

Look for Giannis and Middleton to be in their usual form; LeVert will need to have another big scoring night just to help the Nets avoid a blowout.
