Away: Los Angeles Lakers (37-24, 19-12 Away)

Projected Starting Five:

  • Luka Doncic
  • Austin Reaves
  • Marcus Smart
  • LeBron James
  • Deandre Ayton

The Lakers are on the right track again. After losing three consecutive games, Luka Doncic and company have ripped three straight wins, including Wednesday’s 110-101 win over the New Orleans Pelicans at home.

It is not about to get easier for them, with Denver waiting for them this Friday. With Doncic and LeBron James leading the attack, the Lakers must feel confident about their chances to beat the Nuggets.

They had done it before in the first meeting in the same location, with Doncic putting up a monster triple-double of 38 points, 13 rebounds and 1o assists in a 115-107 road win on Jan.

21. Having recaptured its mojo, Los Angeles will carry a 7th-ranked 117.3 offensive rating to Denver along with a 56.9 eFG% that’s second overall in the league. The Lakers shot 51% in the previous matchup versus the Nuggets.

The Lakers have covered the spread in their last three games overall. They are also 3-0 ATS in their last three trips to Denver.

Home: Denver Nuggets (38-24, 16-12 Home)

Projected Starting Five:

  • Jamal Murray
  • Christian Braun
  • Julian Strawther
  • Cameron Johnson (Questionable)
  • Nikola Jokic

The Nuggets snapped a two-game skid with a hard-earned 128-125 win against the Utah Jazz. Many did not expect Denver to struggle against a team that’s clearly on a mission to tank games, but that can just be chalked up to the unpredictability of the league.

Leading the way in that contest for Denver was Jamal Murray, who popped off for 45 points on a 13/19 shooting from the field.

Nikola Jokic was not at his best, but he still put up 22 points to go with 12 rebounds. Nevertheless, having Jokic and Murray around will always bring confidence to Denver. It is worth noting that when the Nuggets lost to LA the first time around this season, they did not have Jokic available, as he was still dealing with a hyperextended left knee injury that time.

The Nuggets are 2-1 straight up in their last two home games and are 6-4 SU in their last 10 regular-season meetings with the Purple & Gold franchise.
