Away: Los Angeles Clippers (30-31, 14-18 Away)

Projected Starting Five:

  • Kris Dunn
  • Kawhi Leonard
  • Bennedict Mathurin
  • Derrick Jones Jr.
  • Brook Lopez

The Clippers are just a win away this Saturday from getting back to .500. It is worth noting that they have not been to that plateau since going 3-3 through their first six games of the season.

In their last outing, the Clippers extended their winning streak to three games after crushing the Indiana Pacers at home on Wednesday, 130-107. Kawhi Leonard led the Clippers with 29 points, while Bennedict Mathurin skewered his former team with a 23-point revenge game performance. The former Arizona Wildcats star has given LA a big lift, as he’s been able to take over the offense when Leonard takes a breather.

Darius Garland saw action in that contest and scored 12 points, but he’ll not be available against San Antonio due to injury management. Also out for Los Angeles is center Yanic Konan Niederhauser (foot).

The Clippers are 5-0 against the spread in their last five games away from Inglewood.

Home: San Antonio Spurs (45-17/22-6 Home)

Projected Starting Five:

  • De’Aaron Fox
  • Stephon Castle
  • Devin Vassell
  • Julian Champagnie
  • Victor Wembanyama

The Spurs own the Detroit Pistons, and they proved it by sweeping Cade Cunningham’s squad after beating them on Friday at home, 121-106. Victor Wembanyama pumped out 38 points on 12/24 shooting from the field while grabbing 16 boards and swatting away five shots.

De’Aaron Fox added 29 points on 12/22 shooting, and he’s another player the Clippers will have to be wary of. While Wemby is THAT guy, the Spurs are way more than just about him, with Fox, Devin Vassell, Julian Champagnie and Stephon Castle all contributing consistently for San Antonio, which is top six in the league in both offensive rating and defensive rating.

The Spurs are 3-2 against the spread in their last five games as the home team versus the Clippers, dating back to the 2023-24 NBA season.
