Away: Los Angeles Clippers (27-28, 13-17 Away)

Projected Starting Five:

  • Kris Dunn
  • Bennedict Mathurin
  • Kawhi Leonard
  • John Collins
  • Brook Lopez

The Clippers started the second half of their schedule this season on the right foot, as they clobbered the Denver Nuggets in Inglewood on Friday, 115-114. Although they are playing the Lakers this Saturday on the second leg of a back-to-back, the Clips just need to pack lightly as the game will be played in LA. The Clippers are also 5-5 against the spread in their last 10 games away from Intuit Dome.

Meanwhile, Bennedict Mathurin could not have had a much better introduction to Clippers fans at home, as he dropped a 38-point performance in his first game at Intuit Dome as a Clipper. He will look to have a significant impact on the team again when the Clippers host the Lakers. Of course, Kawhi Leonard is still the leader of this squad, and he’s coming off a 23-point performance against the Nuggets.

Home: Los Angeles Lakers (33-21, 15-10 Home)

Projected Starting Five:

  • Luka Doncic
  • Austin Reaves
  • Marcus Smart
  • LeBron James
  • Deandre Ayton

The Lakers will also be looking to have a good start after the All-Star break. In their most recent outing, they demolished Luka Doncic’s former team, the Dallas Mavericks, at home on Feb. 13. They did so without Doncic, who missed his fourth straight game due to a hamstring issue. However, the Slovenian star is expected to return to action on this date with the Clippers, thanks in large part to a long rest.

With Austin Reaves, LeBron James and Doncic, the Lakers will have a healthy triumvirate capable of taking over a game. Reaves has played in only one game against the Clippers this season, but he had 31 points on 11/16 shooting in that contest, while Doncic and James averaged 29.0 and 28.0 points in three meetings with the Clippers, respectively. The Lakers are 4-2 ATS in their last six home games.
