Away: Los Angeles Clippers (34-36, 15-21 Away)
Projected Starting Five:
- Darius Garland
- Kawhi Leonard (Questionable)
- Derrick Jones Jr.
- John Collins
- Brook Lopez
The Clippers are in a tailspin, having lost four games in a row. Their last two losses were both to the New Orleans Pelicans on the road, so perhaps seeing a fresh opponent and being back in the friendlier territory in Inglewood could help get Los Angeles back on track.
Kawhi Leonard did not see action in the Clippers’ 105-99 loss to the Pelicans on Friday due to an ankle issue, but that’s probably more of a maintenance move by LA on the second game of a back-to-back. Leonard is questionable for the Dallas game at the time of this writing, but there’s a good chance he’ll be back on the court this Sunday.
The Clippers, who are 8th in the league with a 55.6 eFG% and 19th with a 36.2% shooting from deep, are 24-16 against the spread this season in games after a one-day rest.

Home: Dallas Mavericks (23-47, 14-21 Home)
Projected Starting Five:
- Cooper Flagg
- Max Christie
- Naji Marshall
- P.J. Washington
- Daniel Gafford
Things are not great either for Dallas, which is on the verge of getting eliminated from playoff contention. That’s hardly a surprise. It is a widely expected fate for the Mavericks, who have won just two of their last 10 games.
They are also coming off a 135-120 loss to the Atlanta Hawks on Thursday at home. But at least they have some rest advantage on the Clippers and will still be playing at home for Sunday’s meeting.
The Mavs won the last time they met Los Angeles as well, which was a 114-110 win at home in November. Cooper Flagg had 35 points in that contest, shooting 13/22 from the field despite the presence of Leonard. Klay Thompson also threw it back with 23 points to go along with six 3-pointers.
The Mavericks have covered the spread in five of their last 10 meetings with the Clippers.
