Projected Starting Five:
- Amen Thompson
- Reed Sheppard
- Kevin Durant
- Jabari Smith Jr.
- Alperen Sengun
The Rockets seem to have as much jet fuel as Artemis 2, as they look to continue their surge toward the end of the regular season. They are on a six-game winning streak following a 117-116 win on the road over the Golden State Warriors on Monday. Kevin Durant dropped 31 points in that game, while Alperen Sengun and Jabari Smith Jr. had 24 and 23 points, respectively. As a team, Houston shot 55% from the floor versus the Warriors.
But defense won the game for the Rockets down the stretch, as they forced Stephen Curry to miss what would have been a walk-off 3-pointer. Defense has been a major asset this season of Houston to pair with its lethal attack. So far in the campaign, the Rockets are seventh in the league with a 112.5 defensive rating and sixth with a defensive 53.0 eFG%. The Suns posted a better eFG% than that just once in the previous three meeting with Houston.
The Rockets are 3-2 against the spread in their last five games overall.
