Away: Golden State Warriors (28-24, 11-15 Away)

Projected Starting Five:

  • Pat Spencer
  • Brandin Podziemski
  • Moses Moody
  • Draymond Green
  • Al Horford

The Warriors are back on track after a two-game losing skid, thanks to a 101-97 win against the Phoenix Suns on the road on Friday.

Without Stephen Curry because of a knee issue, the Dubs saw Pat Spencer lead their attack versus the Suns, as he dropped 20 points with six 3-pointers. Meanwhile, Gui Santos and De’Anthony Melton provided 18 and 17 points, respectively. Golden State will still be without Curry for this rematch against the Lakers.

In the first meeting with Los Angeles back in October in LA, Jimmy Butler and Curry combined for 54 points in a 119-109 Golden State victory, so the Warriors will have to find another source to get those points without those two stars this time around.

The Dubs, who are 14th in the BA with a 114.8 offensive efficiency, are 5-3 against the spread in their last eight games against the Lakers.

Home: Los Angeles Lakers (31-19, 13-8 Home)

Projected Starting Five:

  • Marcus Smart
  • Austin Reaves
  • Rui Hachimura
  • LeBron James
  • Deandre Ayton

Just when the Lakers finally got Austin Reaves back from his long absence due to an injury, they will be without superstar guard Luka Doncic for the Warriors.

Doncic hurt his hamstring in Los Angeles’ 119-115 win against the Philadelphia 76ers at home on Friday, and will be sidelined for at least this rematch versus the Warriors. His absence is definitely a huge one for LA, which drew 43 points from him in the previous meeting with Golden State.

With Luke Kennard coming over to LA after his trade from the Atlanta Hawks, he could see ample minutes right away with the Lakers, though he certainly would need more time to fully adjust to his new basketball surroundings. Reaves should have plenty of touches, of course, especially after going off for 35 points in the Philadelphia game.

The Lakers, second in the NBA with a 56.9 eFG%, are 6-4 against the spread in their last 10 games as the home team.
