The struggling Golden State Warriors hope to stay in the win column as they take on the top-seeded Cleveland Cavaliers.

Catch the game tomorrow at 11:00 AM, Manila time.

AWAY: Cleveland Cavaliers (27-4, 10-3 AWAY)

Projected starting five:

  • Darius Garland
  • Donovan Mitchell
  • Isaac Okoro
  • Evan Mobley
  • Jarrett Allen

The Cavaliers are still in control of the top seed in the league. They are on a six-game winning streak with a sizable average winning margin of 19 points in that stretch (128.0 PPG, 109.0 PAPG). They are also 10-1 over their last 11 contests.

Further, the Cavs also dominated the Warriors in their meeting last November 9th, 136-117, which is despite leading scorer Donovan Mitchell only going 4-for-13 for 12 points. Overall, they shot 54.1%, sank 20 threes, and had six men reach double digits, three of which (Darius Garland, Evan Mobley, and Ty Jerome off the bench) had 20-plus points. The guys picking up the slack is a good showcase of how good the group is.

Garland (20.6 PPG, 6.4 APG) and Mobley (18.8 PPG, 8.9 RPG, 1.4 BPG) are in prime position to score as such again, while Mitchell (23.6 PPG) should be eager to have a more sound performance. Jerome should be pretty confident off-the-bench.

HOME: Golden State Warriors (16-15, 8-7 HOME)

Projected starting five:

  • Stephen Curry
  • Brandin Podziemski
  • Andrew Wiggins
  • Draymond Green
  • Trayce Jackson-Davis

The Warriors snapped a three-game skid on Sunday with a 109-105 victory over the Phoenix Suns. They hope to stay on track as it is only their second win in eight games, where they average 106.0 PPG with a -8.3 point differential.

Stephen Curry (22.5 PPG) struggled in the said loss to the Cavs last month. He only had 12 points on 5-of-10 shooting in just 23 minutes of action. Like Mitchell, however, he’ll come in tomorrow very determined to be more productive. Either way, Curry hopes to have help from the other guys, primarily Jonathan Kuminga (16.7 PPG) and Andrew Wiggins (16.6 PPG).

Second-year big man Trayce Jackson-Davis will be an interesting watch as he is gaining steam as of late. He has 14.0 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks on 66% shooting over his last five games. He’ll be up against the Cavs’ formidable front court, so it’s a good opportunity to further gain momentum.
