The heavyweights in the Eastern Conference are scheduled for a showdown this Wednesday as the Boston Celtics take on the Milwaukee Bucks in what could be a preview of the conference’s championship.

Catch this game live on Wednesday, February 15, at 8:30 AM, Manila time

Away: Boston Celtics (41-16/18-9 Away)

Projected Starting Five:

  • PG: Derrick White
  • SG: Al Horford
  • SF: Jayson Tatum (DTD)
  • PF: Al Horford
  • C: Robert Williams III (DTD)

Despite a banged-up roster, the Celtics keep on winning games. They enter Wednesday’s meeting with Milwaukee riding a winning streak Boston extended to four games following a 119-109 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies at home last Monday. With that, the Celtics have now covered the spread in all of their last four outings.

The Celtics also pulled off a win versus Memphis even though Jayson Tatum was throwing up bricks, scoring 16 points on a 3/16 shooting from the field. Tatum is listed day-to-day as of this writing, so don’t be shocked to see Boston missing him Wednesday. Other key players either out or in danger of missing the Milwaukee game are Jaylen Brown, Malcolm Brogdon, Grant Williams, and Robert Williams III. The hope is that Tatum will be able to give it a go, as he dominated Milwaukee the last time these teams met. He went off for 41 points on 14/22 shooting in a 139-118 home win back in December.

Boston is only 3-7 SU in its last 10 games in Milwaukee but is also 8-2 ATS in those outings.

Home: Milwaukee Bucks (39-17/23-5 Home)

Projected Starting Five:

  • PG: Jrue Holiday
  • SG: Grayson Allen
  • SF: Pat Connaughton (probable)
  • PF: Giannis Antetokounmpo (probable)
  • C: Brook Lopez

Milwaukee isn’t particularly 100% healthy as well, but the Bucks are scorching hot nonetheless. The Bucks have won all their 10 games and return home for Wednesday’s showdown versus Boston coming off a clean 3-0 SU sweep of a road trip that took them to Portland and Los Angeles.

In their last outing, the Bucks demolished the LA Clippers in a 119-106 victory in La La Land last Saturday, thanks to their offense which is seemingly on steroids at the moment. On the season, the Bucks are 13th in the NBA with 114.6 points per game with a 54.2 eFG%. Over the last 10 games, Milwaukee has averaged 124.7 points and put up a 58.2 eFG%. Defensively, they’ve been stout, too. So far in their win streak, the Bucks have posted a 106.8 defensive rating – third-best in the league in the same span.

The Bucks are 4-0 ATS in their last four games after scoring a win.

PREDICTIONS:

Spread: The Bucks (-9.5) cover the spread.

Over/Under: The total (226.5) hits the Over.
