The Terrafirma Dyip and the San Miguel Beermen will square off in an intriguing battle. Will Terrafirma slay a giant to win back-to-back games for the first time this conference? Or, will San Miguel thump the Dyip?

Terrafirma Dyip (4-6)
Projected Starting Five:
- Juami Tiongson
- Maverick Ahanmisi
- Juan Matthew Bravo
- Justin Strings
- Geo Chiu
Tell me if you’ve heard this one before: Terrafirma is out of playoff contention. The Dyip are playing out the rest of their schedule in this conference, with their path to the postseason already cut off.
However, they have some momentum going for them, with Terrafirma coming off a 146-127 win over the Macau Giant Pandas over the weekend. Import Justin Strings and Juami Tiongson took turns punching Macau in the mouth, as the duo produced a total of 62 points on 25/43 shooting.
Meanwhile, Juan Bravo came off the bench and fired 22 points. Terrafirma isn’t going to put up 146 points every night, but Tiongson and company could still be feeling it when they go up against powerhouse San Miguel, which has given up at least 113 points in each of its last two outings.
San Miguel Beermen (7-3)
Projected Starting Five:
- Jerrick Ahanmisi
- CJ Perez
- Marcio Lassiter
- George King
- Junemar Fajardo
The Beermen just got stunned by the TNT Tropang 5G in their first game back after a long break. The Tropang 5G used a furious second half to thwart San Miguel on Saturday to the tune of a 116-98 score. It was the Beermen’s first loss in four games, though, they are still assured of a seat in the playoffs.
Now, San Miguel looks to recover from the loss, and Terrafirma appears to be just the right team for San Miguel to vent its frustrations over the team’s loss to TNT. The Dyip are a historically beatable team, especially for traditional powerhouses like the Beermen, who got 21 and 20 points from CJ Perez and George King, respectively, in the TNT game.
San Miguel theoretically can still catch the NLEX Road Warriors for the top spot in Group A, so don’t expect the Beermen to take their foot off the pedal against the Dyip.
