It was Mamba Day (08/24) today and LeBron James certainly took the opportunity to pay tribute to his fallen friend and mentor with a vintage performance on the court for the Los Angeles Lakers.

LeBron James put up 30 points, six rebounds, and 10 assists in the 135-115 blowout of the Portland Trail Blazers.

He got plenty of help from the rest of his team, as a total of six Lakers scored in double digits. Seven Blazers scored in double digits but it simple wasn’t enough against the juggernauts.

The only downer for the night will be the fact that Anthony Davis left the game with back spasms after playing 18 minutes. He did not return.

However, it looks like he might get the opportunity to rest up in Game 5, as the Lakers now have a commanding 3-1 lead and three wins in a row.

Other games:

The Houston Rockets were left Thunderstruck after losing 117-114 to Oklahoma City. Dennis Schroder had another massive game off the bench for the Thunder, and led the team in scoring with 30 points. James Harden led the Rockets with 32 points, four rebounds, and 15 assists. The series is now tied 2-2 and looks like it will go the full seven games.

The Miami Heat completed their sweep of the Indiana Pacers with a 99-87 victory in Game 4. Goran Dragic was the main man for the Heat, with 23 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists. T.J. Warren, Myles Turner, and Victor Oladipo combined for 68 points but got little help from the rest of the team.

The Milwaukee Bucks, the other top seed to get embarrassed in Game 1, followed the Lakers in taking a 3-1 lead in their opening series. They routed the Orlando Magic 121-106 behind 31 points, 15 rebounds, and eight assists from Giannis Antetokounmpo.
