Wow. That was quite a performance by Ivica Zubac against the Indiana Pacers. With their star players Paul George and Kawhi Leonard both still sitting out, the Croatian center put on one of hell of a memorable stat line in a 114-100 victory against the Indiana Pacers. Zubac finished the game with 31 points, 29 rebounds, three assists and three blocks while shooting 14 of 17 from the field.

He unfortunately couldn’t finish the night with 30 rebounds as he fouled out, but he got a well-deserved standing ovation from the crowd.

Obviously, he was quite pleased with himself, and credited the Croatian national soccer team for inspiration. His countrymen won their game against Canada 4-1 after falling behind early.

Zubac’s performance put him in rarified company. Only one other center had matched or bettered such a performance in the past.

The victory was an important one for the Clippers as well. That pushed their record to 12-9, currently good for fifth in the Western Conference. Every win with their stars sitting will be huge for when George and Leonard (hopefully) return healthy for a playoff run. With the West being a dangerous gauntlet this campaign, the Clippers will need all the big contributions that they can get.
