An underrated story involving the four-team blockbuster trade that sent James Harden to Brooklyn is the Pacers acquiring promising combo-forward Caris LeVert.

The 26-year-old forward has impressed everyone fans and critics with his play in his first five seasons in the league playing for the Brooklyn Nets.

In his first five years in the league, he averaged 13.1 PPG, 3.7 RPG, 3.7 APG and 1.1 SPG on 43.3% FG.

Last season, LeVert put up career-high averages of 18.7 PPG, 4.2 RPG, 4.4 APG and 1.2 SPG on 42.9% FG.

His play got the respect of his peers and critics, with some saying that he could be a future All-Star. That’s why him being moved to the Indiana Pacers got everyone excited to see what would happen if he went to a team that would give him more touches.

Unfortunately, LeVert wasn’t able to play with the Pacers right away after the trade as he needed time to recover from surgery.

LeVert had renal cell carcinoma of the kidney but after a successful procedure, he finally overcame that tough part of his life and is now back in the NBA stage.

Now, donning the Pacers jersey, LeVert is looking like he has found the right place.

In his first game back, against the Phoenix Suns, LeVert put up 13 points, five rebounds, seven assists and two steals.

In his next two games, LeVert started showing what he can really do.

Against the Denver Nuggets, he put up 17 points, two rebounds, two assists and three steals. Then in his first game back in Brooklyn, he dropped 19 points, three rebounds, five assists and two steals.

In their most recent game, the Indiana Pacer got blown out by the Milwaukee Bucks, 113-140, but LeVert finished with 19 points, five rebounds, five assists and two steals.

Although, he has only played six games so far, LeVert is already looking like he fits and we could see the Pacers make a deep run in the playoffs because of his addition.
