This day contains the greatest matchups to watch so far in the tournament. Two of the top 4 will battle each other, and two teams who rose from their Spring failures as one of Summer’s powerhouses will duke it out as well.

Check out who these teams are, why their matches are so significant, and who are likely to win below!

Royal Never Give Up versus Victory Five

Victory Five (2.68 to win) is on a roll lately. They’ve jumped over their latest hurdle, Vici Gaming, in Day 1 with a clean 2-0 score. Ppgod is exerting dominance with his support plays, while Weiwei and the rest of V5 are executing their plays with great poise. The V5 today is vastly different from the V5 of Spring, but their largest challenges will be starting soon.

Royal Never Give Up (1.35 to win) in theory should be able to beat Victory Five. After all, they have Betty and Xiaohu as well as a solid team synergy. They’re not the only ones who improved from Spring, so this match will be a test of might of both teams.

The team who sharpened their blades the best will win, and while both teams are better than before, RNG has proven how much they have improved their weapons. This may be a close match in RNG’s favor.

FunPlus Phoenix versus Invictus Gaming

While FunPlus Phoenix (1.44 to win) sits at the lower ranks of Top 8 in the leaderboard, they’re a good team regardless.  Last week, they barely managed to win against Team WE, where the latter has mirrored the former’s playstyle. The team is looking a little shaky since their return from the Mid-Season Cup, but this match against one of their fellow Top 4 can settle this doubt.

Invictus Gaming (2.38 to win) is still parading on the Ning-Rookie power duo to carry through the tournament. TheShy needs no mention at this point, and their bot lane duo is average. Compared to FPX’s team synergy, Ning and Rookie are the last two threads that hold the team’s weights together.

FPX is the likely winner purely because each of their players can carry their own weight, while iG’s Ning and Rookie have to carry double the weight.
